Hartington Court Freehold to be acquired by residents

The Directors of Hartington Court Residents Limited ('the Company') are delighted to announce that a binding settlement has been reached to acquire the freehold of Hartington Court, with completion of the sale expected on 12th March 2008.

This will put a stop, once and for all, to the planning blight that has overshadowed Hartington Court for the past 7 years.

The Company is owned by a majority of lessees and will manage the building for the long term benefit of lessees, with the objective of maintaining the building to a high standard, whilst retaining its fine 1930s riverside architecture. This will ensure that the building, riverside and Conservation Area remain an attractive place to live.

The Company and residents would like to thank all those in the community who have supported us over the years. In particular, thanks go to The West London River Group, Ann Keen MP, The Chiswick Protection Group, and the Strand on the Green Association.

How do I join the Company as a shareholder?

Existing lessees or purchasers may join as a shareholder, for a flat fee of £14,000.

Next steps-Management review and plans to improve Hartington Court

The Directors will ensure continuing maintenance to a high standard and are assessing the longer term requirements of the building.

Please email the company at hartingtoncourt@googlemail.com if you have any queries.

    Yours sincerely

    Adam Richardson
